This blog is our adoption story. We soon hope there will be two less orphans in the world and in our arms.

Good News -
I know most people probably read that and thought we got a referral. Nope, no referral. The good news is that courts re-opened in Ethiopia yesterday. What does that mean for us? It just means that hopefully things will start moving at a quicker pace. When the courts are closed there are less families taking custody of children. This slows down children leaving the orphanage, meaning there are less openings for children to be brought in to Toukoul to get matched for a referral. Now that more children will be going to their forever families and leaving Toukoul, more children will be coming in to be adopted. So we are thinking we should be hearing something in the next month or so!

I know there are 4 children leaving the orphanage this week. :) And next week when I get there, there will be 7 more children leaving. Things are moving, and I have a feeling your time is right around the corner. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Leah for your hopeful posting. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
